We are delighted that a new funding scheme with UNESP, formally known as the UNESP/University of Birmingham staff travel scholarships, has recently been launched.
Funding is available for three permanent early-career academic staff from UNESP (full or part time) and three early-career staff from the University of Birmingham (full or part time) to undertake fellowships of one to three months' duration, during which time they will be visiting researchers at the other university.
The aim of the scheme is to build lasting research links between the two institutions. Therefore, in order to build the most effective links, in the event of any single call being oversubscribed preference will be given to fellowship applications that involve staff from the equivalent Schools or Departments at UNESP and UoB visiting the other institution.
We welcome applications to any subject area.
The scheme will provide each Visiting Fellow with travel expenses and a monthly stipend for up to three months to help cover living expenses and accommodation.
The first call has now closed. There will be a further call in 2015.
