Undergraduate

Holders of the Baccalauréat Général / Baccalauréat Technologique (BTn) / Baccalauréat de l'Enseignement du Second Degr and Diplôme de l'Enseignement du Second Degr / Option International du Baccalauréat (OIB) will be considered with the following grade equivalencies: 

A*AA: 15/20 
AAA-AAB: 14/20 
ABB - BBB: 13/20 

Option International du Baccalauréat (OIB) 

A*AA: 14/20 
AAA-AAB: 13/20 
ABB - BBB: 12/20 

Specifc subject requirements: 
A* = 15/20 
A = 14/20 
B = 12/20 

English proficiency: 14 (bien) in English 

We will consider holders of the European Baccalaureate (EB) with the following grade equivalencies: 

A*AA - 88 
AAA - 85 
AAB - 80 
ABB - 77 
BBB - 75 

Subject specific requirement: 
A* - 9 
A - 8 
B - 7

Postgraduate

Holders of a good three-year Licence from a recognised French university or Grande École, a Diplôme d'Ingénieur (Engineer's Diploma) or Diplôme from an École Superieure de Commerce/Gestion/Politique, with a minimum overall grade of 13 out of 20, bien, for 2:1 equivalence, or 11.5 out of 20, assez bien, for 2:2 equivalence, or a Maîtrise from a recognised French university or Grande École with a minimum overall grade of 13 out of 20 for 2:1 equivalence, or 11 out of 20 for 2:2 equivalence, will be considered for entry to taught postgraduate programmes. 

Holders of a Diplôme d'Ingénieur (Engineer's Diploma) or Diplôme from an École Superieure de Commerce/Gestion/Politique with a minimum overall grade of 13 out of 20, or a Maîtrise from a recognised French university or Grande École with a minimum overall grade of 13 out of 20, or a Magistère / Diplôme d'Etudes Approfondies / Diplôme d'Etudes Supérieures Specialisées / Mastère Specialis or Masters degree from a recognised French university or Grande École will be considered for entry to postgraduate research programmes.

In addition to the standard qualifications that we accept as proof of English language proficiency, the University accepts the following as proof of English language for students from France for undergraduate and postgraduate entry:

14 (bien) in English in the Baccalauréat Général / Baccalauréat Technologique (BTn) / Baccalauréat de l'Enseignement du Second Degr / Diplôme de l'Enseignement du Second Degr / Option International du Baccalauréat (OIB)

English Language

You will be required to provide evidence of your English ability. Please view the entry requirements for specific programme requirements.

Alternatively, we may accept your English language grade from the French Baccalauréat if you achieved 14 (bien) or above.

If you do not have the required level of English or would like to improve your English before the start of the academic year, you can take one of our pre-sessional English language courses.

Funding

For undergraduate study, EU students can apply for a tuition fee loan from the British Government.

For taught and research Masters courses, EU students (subject to meeting the eligibility criteria) can apply for a postgraduate loan of up to £10,280 for the 2017-18 academic year.

For a comprehensive list of all the awards on offer at the University for home/EU and international students, please consult the undergraduate or postgraduate funding databases.

Additional sources of funding may be available from your home government or organisations based in your country.  The British Council France provides further information on available scholarships for study in the UK.  Students from France can also apply for the Erasmus+ Master Loan directly with the BPCE banks (Banque Populaire and Caisse d'Epargne).
