We have a long tradition of welcoming students from Malta. There are currently 50 students from Malta following a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses at the University.

Undergraduate

Holders of the Advanced Matriculation will be considered with the following grade equivalencies: 
A*AA - AA (Advanced level) + AAA (Intermediate level to exclude Systems of Knowledge) 
AAA - AA + AAB 
AAB - AA + ABB 
ABB - AB + BBB 
BBB - BB + BBB 

Subject specific requirements: 
A* & A - A 
B - B 

NB no overall score given as of 2012 

Postgraduate

Holders of a good Bachelors degree from a recognised Higher Education Institution with a minimum grade of 2:1 (Hons) for UK 2:1 equivalency, or 2:2 (Hons) for UK 2:2 equivalency, will be considered for entry to taught postgraduate programmes.

Holders of a good Bachelors degree from the University of Malta with a minimum grade of 2:1 (Hons), and/or a Masters degree, will be considered for entry to postgraduate research programmes.

Applicants who have studied a degree at the University of Malta are exempt from taking an English proficiency test.

English Language

You will be required to provide evidence of your English ability. Please view the entry requirements for specific programme requirements.

Postgraduate applicants who have studied a degree at the University of Malta are exempt from taking an English proficiency test.

Funding

For undergraduate study, EU students can apply for a tuition fee loan from the British Government.

For taught and research Masters courses, EU students (subject to meeting the eligibility criteria) can apply for a postgraduate loan of up to £10,280 for the 2017-18 academic year.
