The University of Birmingham welcomes applications from students from Saudi Arabia. We have Saudi Arabian students studying a range of courses at the University including a number sponsored by prestigious organisations such as Saudi Aramco, SABIC and the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia.

Entry requirements

The following information is for guidance only and should be used together with the University's general entrance requirements and any specific degree programme requirements. 

Birmingham Foundation Academy

The University will consider applications to the foundation programme from students who are at least 17 years of age and have obtained an overall minimum average of 85% in the Thanawiyah. Where specific subjects are required for entry to a degree programme you need a minimum of 85% in these subjects.

The University will consider students who have taken GCE A Level examinations, the International Baccalaureate (IB), or a suitable foundation programme, such as the Birmingham Foundation Academy, for entrance to undergraduate programmes. 


Holders of a good honours degree, or equivalent, in a relevant subject from a recognised university will be considered for postgraduate study at Birmingham.

English Language

You may be required to provide evidence of your English ability. Please view the entry requirements for specific programme requirements.
