Help young people get the mental health support they need

I care about: Young people's mental health

Youth mental health is a global concern. In the UK, young people have to wait around ten years between experiencing their first symptoms of mental health issues and receiving help. Early intervention could prevent decades of illness, supporting a satisfying and productive life.

Birmingham-in-MindTogether we can investigate the big issues that young people want answers to, led by one of the three leading researchers in youth mental health in the world. Help us understand:

  • What is causing an epidemic in mental health needs
  • How we can offer people early help through teachers and other professionals
  • What treatments are most effective in what circumstances
  • How we can create a society that supports people with mental health challenges
