International students are a vital part of the Birmingham community, and the University is committed to growing that community while recognising academic excellence.

Why Birmingham?

Birmingham is a top 100 global university, ranked 76th in the QS World Rankings. It has a strong presence in South-East Asia, with a growing body of alumni, and students from the region who travel to study in Birmingham. The University has a prestigious, merit-based Outstanding Achievement Scholarships programme, allowing it to recruit the brightest and the best scholars from Hong Kong and Malaysia.

The University has pledged to match gifts to fund scholarships for students from Hong Kong and Malaysia, creating a total of 20 scholarships worth £5,000 each.
