All alumni are invited to attend the annual Guild of Graduates and Alumni Association Forum and 107th AGM, which this year is taking place on Saturday 14 September. The Guild of Graduates and Alumni Association has again timed its Forum & AGM to coincide with the University ‘Open Day’ when Schools and Departments and other buildings on the campus will be open.
This year the main events will take place in the Senate Chamber in the Aston Webb building. Our guest speakers are Sir Dominic Cadbury, who will shortly be retiring as Chancellor and Prof. Peter Fryer of Chemical Engineering.
11.00 Coffee in the Undercroft of the Senate Chamber with an opportunity to mingle. The Senate Undercroft is on the first floor of the main Aston Webb building. There is a lift.
11.30 The 107th Annual General Meeting, including elections. You can download a nomination form here.
12.00 Talk by Prof. Peter Fryer. ‘Chocolate: Science and Art’.
13.00 Buffet lunch. (£12.00 per person – includes morning coffee and wine or soft drinks with lunch.)
14.15 Sir Dominic Cadbury, Chancellor, will talk on ‘The Chocolate Wars’.
15.30 Tea available in the new Bramall Building (www.birmingham.ac.uk/bramall) with an opportunity to see the building and time for a walk around the campus or to chat.

All graduates of the University are automatically members of the Guild of Graduates and Alumni Association and through their presence on University Court, the interests and opinions of all Birmingham graduates and alumni are represented at the University. The Association elects its own Officers and we welcome new members to get more involved.
