To celebrate the University’s enduring relationship with China, the Vice-Chancellor Professor David Eastwood hosted a reception and dinner on Tuesday 12th October at the JW Marriott Hotel in Shanghai. The University has a long standing history of engagement with China dating back over 100 years when the first Chinese students enrolled in 1907.
65 alumni attended the event to learn about the future plans for engagement with China and the University’s commitment to strengthening collaborative links and developing relationships in new areas. During the event the University also announced the launch of the Li Siguang scholarships.
