Thank you and well done to all runners who took part in the Bupa Great Birmingham Run on Sunday 19 October in support of Cure Leukaemia and the University of Birmingham!
The University teamed up with Birmingham based charity Cure Leukaemia to raise vital funds for research taking place in Birmingham's leading Centre for Clinical Haematology. Almost 400 alumni, friends, students and staff of the University of Birmingham ran to raise money to support this fantastic facility.
The runners are raising funds to significantly improve the already superb care available to leukaemia patients in the West Midlands, thanks to University research that is being translated every day into real treatments. The £250,000 development will allow the continued delivery of high quality care, increased bed capacity, reduced waiting times, an improved patient experience, and create additional staffing opportunities amongst other benefits.
There is still time to support runners by donating to their personal JustGiving pages, or by making a donation to the general Cure Leukaemia JustGiving page.

Inspired to fundraise?
You and your friends can raise money for the University of Birmingham just by doing something fun!
You might choose to hold a dress-down day at work, or organise a bake sale with the proceeds going to Birmingham. You could even arrange a karaoke night and ask friends to pay for each song they sing.
