Jeremy Price (trombone), Tony Kofi (saxophones), Liam Noble (piano), Arnie Somogyi (bass), Clark Tracey (drums)Head of Jazz at Birmingham Conservatoire trombone player Jeremy Price and Tony Kofi first met in 1997 on a UK tour with David Murray. Tony Kofi is well known for being a Monk specialist and has achieved the stunning feat of performing his own solo Monkathon. Ugly Beauty, Lets Cool One, Boo Boo's Birthday and Pannonica will be included in this concert as well as other intriguing greats from Monk.This concert is part of Monkathon in association with Birmingham Conservatoire – a celebration of the music of American jazz giant Thelonious Monk.
