Join Winterbourne artist in residence, Anne Parouty in conversation with photographer and forager Ming de Nasty, chemical engineer Dr Philip Cox, and composer and Professor of Composition Michael Zev Gordon as they consider the role of imagining and imagination in their research, and explore connections in the ways that artists and scientists work.

The discussion brings to life Imagining Mushrooms, a group exhibition at Winterbourne House, which draws together representations of mushrooms produced using the oldest photographic printing processes and micro-imaging, to sound shapes captured within a musical score.

Admission free, however places are limited to book to reserve your place.

This event is presented as part of the University of Birmingham's Arts & Science Festival (16-22 March 2015), a week-long celebration of ideas, research and collaboration across campus.
