Improving Health and Vision in Ethiopia

University of Birmingham staff established charity LUCIA (Life Uplifted by Change in Africa) to improve the lives of women and children in Ethiopia.

Local GP, Janet Clarke, and Sylvia Gardiner, the founder of LUCIA, will discuss partnership working between UK charity Vision Aid Overseas and LUCIA to offer much needed eyesight care in Ethiopia. The session will also look at how they have worked with local NGOs to improve sanitation and nutrition for school children and the wider community connected to the SARIA school in Ethiopia.

Admission is free, no booking required.
