This lecture will explore the way that the early African American political commentator and philosopher, David Walker, strove to understand and counter rising racist ideologies in the United States and achieve a global understanding of and perspective upon the full emergence of racism in everyday popular discourses treating with the biological sciences and Enlightenment human rights. Walker poses questions that still have not been answered today.
