Hate Crime Awareness
- Location
- Nuffield (G18) (R9 on campus map)
- Dates
- Wednesday 3 December 2014 (13:30-14:30)
This event aims to raise awareness of disability hate crime. This is important, because there is a growing evidence the people with disabilities can be subject to harassment, but may feel unsure about whether or how to report it.
West Midlands Police will give a talk to explain what hate crime is; how it can be reported by anyone – not just a victim and what the options are for addressing hate crime.
This event is presented as part of Focus on Disability, a programme of events running 01 – 14 December 2014 exploring disability on campus.
All staff and students are welcome to attend this free event – no booking required.
