This year Winterbourne is celebrating Christmas again with activities for the whole family. Carols will be performed, the house will be decked out in beautiful decorations and festive stalls and activities will be dotted around the house. Father Christmas will be taking time out of his busy schedule to allow visitors to his grotto in the house, where children can visit and choose a gift from his sack.
Tasty treats such as mulled wine, mince pies and turkey baps will be on offer in the tea room.
The event is free for University of Birmingham staff and students (on production of a valid ID card) and standard admission is £5 for adults and £4 for concessions. Children under 5 have free admission. A small charge for craft activities and access to the grotto applies for all.
A slightly later entry of midday will be in operation, just to give Father Christmas time to get ready. Last entry is at 16:00.
