Ever wondered whether your research has commercial potential? Most research has…

So why not come along to our coffee morning and talk to our experts to find out how the University Technology Transfer Office can help you?

We are holding a series of informal coffee mornings to introduce research staff at the University to the role of Alta Innovations Ltd in the protection and exploitation of university generated intellectual property and knowledge, and to give them a chance to have discussions about specific issues.

Alta Innovations Ltd (www.alta.bham.ac.uk) is wholly owned by the University, and provides expert technology transfer services to University researchers and external businesses. If you are interested in developing impact from your research through commercial development, or using your knowledge to provide consultancy to business, knowledge of Alta will be invaluable. Alta has helped researchers with projects from helping to create linguistic packages, to developing new foundry processes.

Our next session offers the opportunity to hear a short presentation about the services provided by Alta, and then to meet and chat to Alta staff over coffee and cake. The team can advise upon: Intellectual Property, Licensing, Business Development, Academic Consultancy, Spin-Out development, and Entrepreneurial Training activities.

This event is for staff only.
