The English Concert, one of the world’s leading period instrument ensembles, performs a programme entitled ‘Godfather, Father and Son’, focusing on works by Telemann, J S Bach and C P E Bach. Since being founded by Trevor Pinnock in 1972, The English Concert has worked at the forefront of the Baroque and Classical music revival. It comprises many of Europe’s finest baroque musicians, including Lawrence Cummings, who directs this performance from the harpsichord, and featured instrumentalists Alfonso Leal del Ojo, Lisa Beznosiuk and Katharina Spreckelsen.
