This study day at the Barber and at Birmingham contemporary art gallery Ikon delves deep into the history and modern use of portrait miniatures. Starting at Ikon, consider new works by Pakistani artist Imran Qureshi, before exploring his inspiration - Indian and Persian miniatures from the late 16th and early 17th centuries at the Barber. An illustrated talk by Nick Barnard, Curator (South and South East Asia ) at the Victoria and Albert Museum, will complete this fascinating event.
