Jeff is one of the world’s leading experts in the field of invertebrate thermal biology and how it is affected by components of climate change. His work covers aspects such as animal strategies for survival in polar environments, as well as understanding the establishment potential of non-native biological pest control agents. Jeff is Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education) of the University, a former member of the ‘Advisory Committee on Releases to the Environment’ (ACRE) and of the Council of the British Ecological Society.
