We’ve got 6 of our academics from across the University, talking to the theme of The Incredible Human Journey: past, present and future.

Professor Alice Roberts, author of this year’s Great Read At Birmingham (GRAB) book will open the conference, and she will be followed by academic speakers talking on a diverse range of subjects, including:

• Dr Jeremy Pritchard on Darwinism
• Dr Vanessa Heggie on the history of medicine
• Dr Nick Hawes on human intelligence and robotics
• Dr Jeremy Williams on population ethics

All talks will be short (no more than 20 minutes) and aim to be inspirational and engaging.
Professor Alice Roberts will close the conference with a book signing session, and there will be ample opportunity to be actively involved throughout the afternoon.
