The University is pleased to welcome Sir Christopher Meyer, former British Ambassador to the United States and Germany, to deliver his lecture as part of our Vice-Chancellor’s distinguished lecture series, our most prestigious lectures featuring leading public and academic figures.
Sir Christopher was a career diplomat from 1966 to 2003 and is also former Chairman of the Press Complaints Commission. He is a non-executive director of the Arbuthnot Banking Group, Chairman of the Pagefield Advisory Board, a member of the international advisory board of British-American Business inc., and Freeman of the City of London. He is author of the critically acclaimed books DC Confidential and Getting Our Way and is a regular commentator, broadcaster and documentary maker for television and radio. His latest documentary series, Networks of Power, aired on Sky Atlantic in early 2012.
