Cartoon
One of the largest UMS ensembles, Wind Band, perform Woolfenden’s Gallimaufry, a long standing favourite in the wind band repertory, along with Cartoon, a lively work inspired by the soundtracks from classic cartoons of the studies of Warner Bros and Hanna-Barbera. The smaller, yet equally engaging Saxophone Ensemble, join them with a programme including arrangements of Putting on the Ritz, Bolero and Fantasia on the Dargason.
