‘The performance of Brahms's A minor Quartet ... had real Brahmsian rigour behind its expressiveness, with darkly shimmering tone in the stern quasi- minuet of the third movement ‘ (The Glasgow Herald)

The string principals of the vibrant Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela perform Romantic works by Mendelssohn and Brahms alongside Argentinean folk music-inspired Quartet No. 1 by Ginastera. The Simón Bolívar String Quartet has performed across Venezuela, throughout the North and South America, Europe and Asia, giving recitals as well as taking part in educational and community projects. In 2010, the Quartet undertook a major tour of the United Kingdom, appearing at the Edinburgh International Festival and at the Southbank Centre in London.
