  • Mingana collection: Arabic and Syriac Middle Eastern manuscripts, together with a very small amount of Hebrew material and some coins, seals and clay tablets. The content is mostly religious, mainly Islamic and early Near Eastern Christian. Finding No: MINGANA
  • Selbourne manuscripts: a miscellaneous collection of largely bound manuscripts including devotional and liturgical texts, books of hours, commonplace books and albums, volumes of medical prescriptions and household recipes, volumes of watercolours and illustrations, and other items, 14th century–c 1900.   • Shaw-Hellier collection: eighteenth century music manuscripts including many copies of compositions by Handel. The collection also includes dance tunes and military band arrangements. Finding No: SH

  • Wigan manuscripts: a small collection of miscellaneous manuscripts dating from the sixteenth to the eighteenth centuries, including mathematical and astronomical texts; devotional writings including material relating to the early history of Methodism; Latin and Greek essays; and notes on English rhetoric and history.
