Lara Ratnaraja

Lara is Senior Research Facilitator at the Digital Humanities Hub. Prior to this she was the Broker  on the AHRC-funded Collaborative Arts Triple Helix (CATH) research project, based in the Digital Humanities Hub.

Photograph of Lara RatnarajaThe CATH project focused on brokering and researching collaborations across three sectors - small and medium sized enterprises, small cultural organisations, and HE researchers. The project enabled 19 teams to produce digital prototypes in collaboration across 3 sectors.

Lara is also a freelance consultant working within the cultural and digital sector. She develops and delivers project and policy on how cultural and digital technology intersect for a number of national partners as well programmes around business development for the arts. She is also the Programme Curator for Hello Culture; a conference that attracts 200 attendees to showcase and debate collaborative working across the cultural, heritage and digital sectors, and catalysing cross sector knowledge sharing and transfer and collaborative working. 

In addition she is also CidaCo Midlands Director working on their Arts Council England project, Developing Cultural Sector Resilience.

She has worked within the cultural, digital and creative industries for over twelve years, brokering partnerships and collaborations between the sectors. She ran successful creative industries programmes as Sector Development Director for the Creative, Cultural and Digital Industries at Business Link West Midlands and was Chair of the Creative Britain Beacon Business Links Network. She is also on the Board of Stan's Cafe.
