Louise completed her degree in Business Studies at the University of Wolverhampton, achieving a 2:1 before going on to study for a post-graduate Certificate in Human Resources. At this time of study, she helped develop Wolverhampton City Council’s Clerical Relief Pool then moved on to a graduate HR role.
During her time with the Council, Louise worked in strategic HR carrying out corporate projects including a council-wide staff survey, Cot3 as well as jobs and careers open days. She was also responsible for vacancy approvals and assisted with recruitment and selection.
Louise moved into European funding in 2008, working as a Regional Support Officer for West Midlands Councils. There, she represented the 14 strategic local authorities in the West Midlands region as part of the European Social Fund LA/Skills Funding Agency Co-financing Plan. This joint partnership arrangement was held up by ESFD as best practice and was rolled out across the country.
Louise joined the new £2.4 million ERDF supported West Midlands Digital Cultural Heritage Demonstrator Project in March 2012.
