The Lapworth Museum had a fantastic response (more than 150 entries) to its Create Your Own Dinosaur competition at a recent University Community Day event held in June.
Children and adults could put together various cut outs (legs, wings etc.) to design and then colour in their own ‘Dinosaur’ which were then stuck on to a recreation of the landscape from millions of years ago.
The judges were very impressed by the range of inventive and colourful designs submitted by everyone from 3 up to 37 years old. This made choosing a winner and two runner-ups a very challenging (but exciting) process!
The prizes included ‘dig a dinosaur’ kits, mould and paint dinosaurs, pteranodon foam glider kit plus a dinosaur torch and projector.
Many congratulations to the winning entries shown below:
Competition winner - 'Wingoraptor' - Kate
1st runner-up - Ranveer
2nd runner-up - Ella
