I was born in Chile and currently work as an Associate Professor at the Dental School of the Universidad Austral de Chile, Valdivia, in the south of Chile, where I am the Head of the Dental Imaging Department and Research Coordinator.
I am a dentist specialising in Maxillofacial Radiology. I am passionate about new technologies and I work every day applying IT in my work as radiologist or as dental educator with my students. I also enjoy doing research in the fields of Radiology, Public Health Dentistry.
I am constantly evaluating new technology to see how it can provide value in the educational environment. I follow the latest research in dental journals, tech news and innovations in social media and I love to express my opinion through my twitter account, my blog or any new media technology.
My main goal as a professor is to allow dental students to have a healthy skepticism as professionals through new research and developments in dentistry, for them to use clinical judgment to select the best evidence available for the diagnosis and treatment of their patients ethically and responsibly.
