Dr Nana Wiberg M.D, Ph.D is a Senior Consultant at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University Hospital of Lund. With approximately 3500 annually deliveries it is the referral centre for complicated pregnancies and/or expected deliveries (including extreme preterm deliveries) for the southern part of Sweden.
Dr Wiberg's main interest is the delivery and to give as many as possible a safe and physiological normal vaginal delivery being convinced that a normal birth has many advantages for the newborn. Her research is focused on the normal fetal physiology and acid-base balance during and after delivery with special interest of early markers of crucial hypoxia.
