In his current job, Dr Libri facilitates key interactions between the CRF and its network of collaborators, both internally and externally and manages the medical team, ensuring the required level of medical cover for all clinical studies carried out in the CRF. In addition to his own research programme, he manages the portfolio of studies conducted in the CRF across all therapeutic areas. He acts as course organiser for the Masters in Clinical Research-Translational Medicine, and oversees the educational and training requirements of the CRF staff. He is also an Honorary Professor in Clinical Pharmacology within the Italian University.

From 1990 to 1998, Dr Libri was an ACF at the School of Pharmacy, University of London and a Welcome Trust and Medical Research Council Project Grant Holder. From 1998 to 2008 he worked in multiple Pharmaceutical Companies, including GlaxoWellcome, Eli Lilly, and GlaxoSmithKline, and undertook direct responsibility and leadership for Translational Medicine and early phase clinical trials, mainly in pain and neuropsychiatric diseases.
