Course Summary

Despite advances in medical and veterinary public health, new infections emerge almost yearly, affecting both advanced economies and disadvantaged societies alike. The majority of these are viral zoonoses, as a result of contact with wildlife, livestock or companion animals.

Learning Objectives

This workshop will deliver a comprehensive update on recent research and developments in the prediction, properties and control of emerging virus infections focusing on those considered as current risks to modern society.

Who is this course for?

This course is appropriate for those wishing to pursue a research or clinical career in emerging infection, as well as those public health and veterinary professionals engaged in policy-making and strategic planning of diseases control measures.
