Aims

We are working to grow NMR, both in solution and in solid-state, in structural biology, drug design, biomolecular engineering and metabolism. We provide researchers with state-of-the-art NMR technologies, outstanding support and expert knowledge. Both experts and non-expert users are invited to use our facility through our flexible and bespoke user-support models.

We aim to:

  • provide state-of-the-art NMR methods, both in solution and in solid-state, for internationally competitive biomedical research in mechanistic structural biology, biomolecular dynamics, drug development and metabolic profiling
  • develop and make available next generation NMR technologies including pulse programs, experimental set-up and instrumentation
  • support the NMR needs of multiple UK scientific communities, including all scientists interested in understanding molecular and cellular mechanisms, independent of their expertise in NMR
  • link to European and global NMR facilities to improve both our science and our management models, as well as to promote the visibility of UK NMR research
