Luciana Berger is the Labour and Co-operative Member of Parliament for Liverpool Wavertree. Elected in May 2010, Luciana was appointed Shadow Minister for Energy and Climate Change in October 2010.

Before entering Parliament Luciana worked for management consultancy Accenture advising FTSE 100 companies including Barclays and BP, as well as the London Stock Exchange. She then joined Accenture’s Government Strategy Unit supporting UK Government departments including the Treasury before the 2006 Comprehensive Spending Review and Prime Minister Tony Blair’s Delivery Unit.

After leaving Accenture Luciana was appointed Government and Parliamentary Manager for the National Health Service Confederation. From 2007 to 2010 she was the Director of Labour Friends of Israel, a non-profit organisation working to achieve a two state solution in the Middle East.

Luciana also has an MSc in Government, Politics and Policy from Birkbeck College, University of London.
