The Finance Department within the Regional Office for Gulf and Near East is responsible for ten countries. The employee base is about 550 people across, including the third party sales force. The Regional Employee Base is predominately a sales and marketing organisation, with a primary responsibility of providing healthcare needs to both the private and public sectors within these countries.
About the internship
The Finance Department based in Dubai provides full operational support, financial corporate governance and controls to the ten markets within the region. The current business plan for 2012 for the region is 200mGBP, and in the last three years there has been high double digit growth, which has been through both organic and inorganic growth This opportunity will provide an intern who wishes to pursue a career in finance a wonderful learning opportunity to see all aspects of the financial operation, and across ten markets within the emerging markets business model.
This internship will provide an opportunity for the intern to understand the financial framework within a region that is based within the Emerging Markets that is very different to the established markets in UK and Europe The Region covers ten countries; UAE, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan, Syria and to understand the pharmaceutical market and business model.
Key responsibilities:

To work with the Financial Controller to review the current financial processes and systems and implement any required changes in line with the business and governance environment.

To design and implement a Finance score card that is aligned with the business KPIs
Deliverables:

The internship takes place between the end of June and the end of September 2013; the working hours will be 8:30am to 5:00pm Sunday to Thursday. All costs will be covered by Global Challenge.
