Ryan Bradley

Ryan is working on the Transforming Educational Practice in Autism (TAE) project as a Research Fellow for  the Autism Centre for Education and Research (ACER) at the University of Birmingham. He previously collaborated with ACER as a core author of the Autism Education Trust’s Schools and Early Years Programmes. He has a background in teaching and training in both mainstream and special education/autism sectors and currently manages autism advisory services for Oxfordshire County Council. He completed his first degree at the University of Edinburgh and is a doctoral researcher at ACER, where he holds a scholarship from the School of Education. The focus of his PhD is on the inclusion of autistic students in mainstream secondary schools through peer mentoring and he is passionate about linking research and practice to improve outcomes for children with autism and their families. Ryan writes the following about the TAE project:

The project has developed a methodology for collaborative working that is significant in attempting to establish a unified language and understanding of autism and inclusion across three European countries.’
