Dr Florence Samkange-Zeeb

Florence Samkange-Zeeb is a scientist with a master’s degree and a doctorate in Public Health. Her main research interests lie in social epidemiology with a focus on migration and health.

After training as a Radiographer in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, Florence worked in different hospitals in Zimbabwe, South Africa, Namibia and Germany. Having completed her master in public health studies in 2002 at the University of Bielefeld, she took up scientific posts at the State Institute for Public Health Service, North Rhine Westphalia,  (loegd – NRW, Bielefeld ), at the Faculty of Public Health, University of Bielefeld and at the Institute for Medical Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Informatics, University Medical Centre Mainz. In 2010 she joined the Department of Prevention and Evaluation, Unit of Social Epidemiology at the Leibniz Institute for Prevention Research and Epidemiology – BIPS, in Bremen.
