Following the sell out of our Kew Gardens visit, the next coach trip organised by the Friends of Winterbourne will be in July. This day out will give you the opportunity to visit two highly regarded Cotswold gardens with quite contrasting styles - it should prove to be a very enjoyable trip.
Mill Dene is an RHS recommended garden tucked away in the village of Blockley. The garden surrounds a watermill and stream and was co-designed by owner Wendy Dare. Features include a rose walk, a herb garden and a potager (small kitchen garden). Bourton House Garden has featured in The English Garden magazine. It boasts some exotic plants, wide herbaceous borders, fantastic topiary and water features.
Tickets for this trip cost £34 per person which includes coach fare there and back, admission to both gardens, tea and coffee on arrival at Mill Dene, an introductory talk by Wendy Dare and then lunch at Mill Dene before moving onto Bourton House Garden.
Please note that both gardens declare limited disabled access - particularly Mill Dene which is quite a steep garden.
