Students from Nigeria at Birmingham

The University of Birmingham warmly welcomes students from Nigeria! Nigeria accounts for the second largest amount of new international students at the University and there are currently over 250 Nigerian students studying a range of programmes with us.

We have a number of links with Nigerian universities, schools and sponsors, and we are home to the prestigious Department of African Studies and Anthropology, the only university department in the world to concentrate specifically on West Africa. Further details about the work it carries out can be found on the Africa Hub.

The Guild of Students is home to a thriving Nigerian Student Society which provides a great way to meet other Nigerian students at the university. You can also join our University of Birmingham Nigerian applicant Facebook group.

If you have any questions please contact our dedicated Nigeria Country Officer John Ojeogwu, who is based in Lagos.
