Ruslan Talibov  "Thanks to the support the University offered the scholarship scheme, I participated in many events where I met numerous interesting people including Professor David Eastwood, the Vice Chancellor of the University, and the Deputy Mayor of Birmingham.

The International Office at the University organised many programmes for the scholars and at the end of the year, the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office held a reception for all Chevening scholars in London. This was a particularly useful event as I had the chance to network with multinational officials with whom future relationships in business could flourish."

Nijat Muradli
MSc Road Management and Engineering

Nijat Muradli "I chose the University of Birmingham because the course taught on road management at the University is more required nowadays.

The student life at the University of Birmingham and the process of learning itself is attractive. Also, the modern technologies provided for students are quite beneficial. Easy access to professors is another advantage."

Ruslan Talibov
MBA Global Banking and Finance
Graduated 2011

Ruslan Talibov  "While the course in general was designed to develop us into more rounded business people, I found all of the banking modules and in particular, the risk management, financial markets regulation and strategic analysis of business modules to be most beneficial as these are topics I encounter every day in my current role.

I was also eager to study at the University of Birmingham as the campus appeared to have a wonderful community feel and a superb atmosphere.

Make the most of the programme, even those hard and sleepless nights! After graduation, you will really miss those days. I know I do."
