"My experience in the University of Birmingham not only prepares me for my career as a lecturer, it also helps me to prepare for the outside academics environment and achieve global awareness.

The University of Birmingham has been acknowledged for its outstanding academic and professional program, that’s why I choose MBA program in the University of Birmingham.

Birmingham is a nice city. You don’t need to worry about the food. There are lots of place that you can easily find the food that meet your taste, especially Asian food. Public transportation is very good and you will feel save.

I would recommend you to study there"

"I had no previous working experiences, and it was hard for recent graduates to find a job, especially in Indonesia where an unemployment level was relatively high. So, the competition was very tight. However, for my case, my master’s degree has really helped me to get a job, I had several offers from some great companies (national or multinational).

I had several critical reasons for choosing UoB, first of all because it was one of the top universities in the United Kingdom and its positive reputation for producing many powerful and influential people in the world.

Basically, I don’t like a crowded city (London, for instance), I prefer a big yet un-crowded city to study, and for me, Birmingham is appropriate for study purpose. Besides this city provides every single thing I need, including entertainment (cafe, bar, club), shopping center, markets, sport center and many else. Moreover, for Asian people, it is very easy to find Asian Markets and Asian Restaurant.

Therefore, surely I will recommend UoB as well as city of Birmingham to the prospective students in my country, specifically.

"I chose the University of Birmingham because of their lecturer specialties that has a lot of experience regarding decentralisation policy practice all over the world. Moreover, some of them were consultants for Indonesian fiscal decentralisation.

The part that I enjoyed very much when I studied at the University was the field visit to local government office and also study visit to Istanbul as one reference on how they implement their development practice especially in decentralising authorities.

Birmingham is a big city in UK but not hectic. It has the most legendary and prestigious world badminton event in the world, All England Championship. Moreover, especially for moslem like me, I can easily find halal food just around the University.

My fondest memory was when the University is chosen to hold the final UK Prime Ministerial Debate. Experiencing the UK Prime Ministerial election was already very special for me, but having to see the final debate at my very own university made it even more special.

I would absolutely recommend the University of Birmingham as a definite destination to students who want to study in UK. For me, it was not only their depth specialties in subject area that I needed most, but also the living environment that I think has it all."

"My degree has really helped me to developed my career globally in banking industry. Currently, I am working in a largest regional bank in South East Asia as an assistant manager

I chose University of Birmingham to get my master degree because it was on UK’s top 10 university and internationally ranked 59th  (The Times HES 2010)

the Uni has great facilities to support students studies like the main library with its special collections of rare books and manuscripts, the astronomical observatory, the Barber Institute of Fina Arts, and many more.

I like the city because it is very friendly city, especially for newcomers. The people are very friendly and helpful. Beside, it is a big city but not too crowded and I could get everything I need in Birmingham

My fondest memories of studying in Birmingham was the time I spent with my friends from another countries. It was really precious open minded experience for me to have.

I would recommend the University to prospective students because the Uni has vary excellent programs that really helped for practitioners, like me, to develop career globally and for the researchers, the Uni is really a right choice since it is wellknown for its research and top 5 for UK’s research quality.
