China Institute Musical Fusion recital, August 2015 


DSC6150Our China Institute recently hosted a unique musical fusion event mixing traditional Eastern and Western styles. Professor Haisheng Li, eminent music scholar from Nanning, China, treated the audience to a delightful performance with Xun, the Chinese ancient instrument with 7,000 years of history. Professor Sir David Eastwood hosted a reception for our Chevening Scholarship students at Hornton Grange in March. There were students  attending from countries as far afield as Belarus, Cuba, Indonesia, Kenya, Libya and the Maldives . Joanna Rosenzweig, the Senior Partnerships & Development Officer from the Chevening Secretariat travelled up from London to join in the celebrations.
