American and Canadian Studies

Our collections

Main Library

The University Library has substantial collections of books to support the study of Canada and The USA. The main collections of American literature and criticism and American history and society are in the Main Library.

The collections are also strong on the study of Latin America.

The American studies collection has recently been enhanced by a substantial donation of books from The English-Speaking Union. This includes books sent from the USA as part of the Books Across the Sea project to present American culture to the world.

The Library subscribes to around 50 journal titles in this field of study.
