The University provides undergraduate and specialist research level collections of books, journals and electronic resources for the study of Psychology.
The library currently subscribes to circa 600 journal titles in this field.
The Main Library holds undergraduate texts and specialist research collections in psychology, the principal collections being located in Zone 2D. It also houses our Social Sciences Reference collection and Official Statistics in Zone 1C.
The Barnes Library houses collections in medicine, health and life sciences. Clinical psychology materials form part of this collection.
The Education Library houses educational psychology and some child psychology collections.
Orchard Learning Resource Centre
Some psychology texts and research material can also be found in the Orchard Learning Resource Centre (OLRC) in Selly Oak.
Alongside the print collections, we provide members with access to a range of electronic resources, including key bibliographic databases such as PsychINFO, Medline, EMBASE, Web of Science and CINAHL, and eBooks such as the International Encylopedia of the Social and Behavioral Sciences. We also offer a wide range of electronic journals.
Cadbury Research Library: Special Collections holds the Leslie Weatherhead archive collection, and is available for research. This collection contains a diversity of material relating to Weatherhead as a popular and controversial author, preacher, lecturer and counsellor who was a pioneer in relating psychology, religion and healing in the 20th century.
