Lisa Metherell, an artist researching a practice-led PhD at Birmingham City University, will give a seminar entitled Queer Encounters with Art: (Dis)Orientations Beyond the Representation of Sexual Bodies.
Lisa's work is particularly informed by the tensions between queer theory and phenomenology and how what we 'know' might be usefully troubled by what we 'feel.'
The seminar will be held in the Photograph Room in the Barber Institute of Fine Arts (R14 on campus map).
