Chemists at Birmingham celebrate £1 million award for new equipment

Staff at the School of Chemistry at the University of Birmingham are celebrating the installation of new equipment today (21 July 2014) as a result of a £1 million award from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council's core capability grant, and match funding from the University in excess of £500,000.

The University of Birmingham and the University of Nottingham have a new funding agreement to work with leading research institutions in the Brazilian state of Rio de Janeiro. The agreement will initially support up to 10 collaborative research projects over two rounds of funding worth £340,000.
