University of Birmingham scientists to receive €8m of ERC funding

The University of Birmingham has been awarded close to €8m in research grants by the European Research Council. The five ERC Starting Grants, which last for five years, were awarded to researchers from across the university, and span such subjects as human evolution, memory, plant biology, the treatment of diabetes and particle physics.
