Describe yourself in three words
Quiet, determined, thoughtful.
What course did you study at the University of Birmingham and why?
Music. I love to play violin and piano and this was a natural progression for me.
When did you start your sport and why?
When I was 7. I tried it for the first time on a family scout activity camp. My dad loved it and soon after he joined the local club. Myself, my mum and brothers started a couple of years after.
What was the last book you read?
Pride and Prejudice.
What was the last music single/album you bought/downloaded?
Clare Teal’s album ‘Hey Ho’.
Who would you want to play you in a film of your life and why?
I have no idea.
Who has been the greatest influence in your life?
My team mate Alison Williamson, because I was young and inexperienced when I first joined the team and she had plenty of experience. We also train together at least twice a week. She has taught me a lot and given me much advice.
If you could play any other sport what would it be?
Ice skating.
What is your current training schedule like?
Busy! 6 days a week. I do gym 2-3 times per week, cardio 2-3 times per week and I shoot 4-6 hours 6 days per week.
What are you most looking forward to about the London 2012 Olympics?
The opening ceremony – that’s the beginning and the opportunity to get rid of all the excitement before the competition starts.
