This event will specifically focus on the challenges Somalia presents for international and regional security and the role of African states and ‘African Solutions’ in responding to such challenges. The session will be introduced by Professor Nicholas Wheeler, Director of the new Institute for Conflict Cooperation and Security at the University of Birmingham.
