Lord Herman Ouseley will give the First Annual Lecture for the Centre for Research in Race & Education. He will discuss the changing nature of racism and discrimination in the UK over the past 50 years. He will consider how organisations have responded to the challenges posed in seeking both equality of opportunity and equal and fair treatment for Black and minority ethnic communities. He will argue that while there have been some historical strides, today race equality and social justice remain widely misunderstood and increasingly marginalised within political thinking.
