Summer Festival of Music
Join us for an intimate evening of chamber music featuring ensembles from across the University, along with the Chamber Choir performing a collection of classical and popular choral works, among them Dowland’s Come Again and Vaughan Williams’s The Turtle Dove. The programme also includes the première of the winning entry in this year’s Festival Composition Competition.
Part of the Summer Festival of Music. The Summer Festival of Music has been running at the University of Birmingham for over 20 years. It is a week-long festival organised by students to create music-making opportunities for performers from across the University and the wide community. Each year the festival welcomes new participants in a variety of roles - from conductors, composers and the many members of the ensembles to the organising commitee - ensuring that there is something for everyone.
This year the Birmingham-based Edward's Trust is our charity partner.
